Apidextra Review
As one of the most hyped up dieting pills on the market, Apidextra has undergone a lot of scrutiny. The manufacturers of this new ‘marvel’ pill claim that it is capable of burning up to five times more calories and that it raises metabolism by 273%.
It claims to do this through a combination of well known and some less familiar natural compounds, some of which have little evidence for their weight loss claims.
Apidextra Ingredients and their claims
Phytosome Green Tea is one popular ingredient used in Apidextra, which has usually fared well in clinical trials.
However, those that criticize the use of green tea in dieting pills claim that it has no intrinsic capability to burn calories as a stand alone compound, it is simply due to its caffeine content that it gives a very slight increase in metabolism.
Irvingia Gabonensis has recently received praise in the press following a double blind clinical trial that displayed its weight reduction capabilities. In this trial, the individuals being studied were either given irvingia gabonensis or a placebo.
Those that took Irvingia Gabonensis noticed a slight, but significant reduction in LDL cholesterol, as well as weight loss. Despite this success, it is recommended that it is not taken for more than 4 weeks, as adverse side affects can occur such as headaches, flatulence and insomnia.
Cissus Quadrangularis has also fared well in clinical trials for weight loss, as well as the reduction of blood sugar.
Again, this is a compound that should only be used in the short term, as long term use can lead to adverse side effects. Common side effects experienced with Cissus Quadrangularis include flatulence, diarrhea and insomnia.
Dicaffeine Malate is a compound that is quite well known for boosting metabolism, however its ability to do so relies solely on the caffeine content. This particular component of Apidextra is simply caffeine bound to acid, which some experts believe may lead to the effects being felt faster. Although Dicaffeine Malate can increase the metabolism, it can also lead to an energy crash following ingestion.
Coenzyme Q10 is a dietary compound that many beauty enthusiasts will have heard of when searching for anti-aging products. When ingested, Coenzyme Q-10 is thought to be very beneficial in terms of lowering blood sugar and changing how sugars are metabolised within the body. Bearing that in mind, it is advised that diabetics do not take Coenzyme Q-10 as it can temporarily exacerbate their condition.
Other natural ingredients included in Apidextra are Mentha Longifolia, vitamin C and olive leaf extract. Whilst olive leaf extract is known for its use in low GI diets, there is little clinical basis to suggest that it will effectively lead to weight loss. Both Mentha Longifolia and Vitamin C are well known for their detoxifying characteristics and may be good for digestion, but they too do not have scientific evidence behind them in terms of causing weight loss.
Apidextra conclusion
The main problem with Apidextra is that it is impossible to feature a meaningful amount of any one of the eight ingredients in just one capsule. The manufacturer makes no mention of how much of each ingredient has been used, either on the product label or the official website.
Unfortunately Apidextra is just one of countless diet pills which features lots of lots of ingredients without revealing any real quantities. Our advice is to opt for slimming aids which contain just one key ingredient in enough quantity to actually promote weight loss.
Apidextra Alternatives
One of the most effective weight loss supplements discovered in recent years is the Acai Berry.
There are countless clinical studies which show daily use of the supplement can lead to average weight loss of around 2-4lbs per week. Acai is 100% natural and does not cause any negative side effects.
The Daily Express recently awarded Evolution Slimming’s Pure Acai as the UK’s highest quality Acai supplement.

Since its introduction onto the market, Slim Bomb has been a huge hit with slimmers looking for a herbal supplement that will help speed up their weight loss without any of the risks associated with chemicals and pharmaceutical drugs.
